Opera browser with official Georgian language support
Opera browser is the the fastest and for many users the best internet browser in the world. Some of its useful features include Multiple Document Interface (MDI), Background opening of links, email client, download manager, instant messaging, ad pop-up prevention and many more.
Opera browser has been committed to standards-compliance as well as localization. Since version 6.0 Opera fully supports Unicode, meaning it can display Georgian unicode web page correctly, as well as handle Georgian Unicode-encoded mail and search queries. Its interface is also Unicode-compliant, enabling the full localization of the product.
It's growing popularity in Georgia lead Aiet Kolkhi to localize it to Georgian language. The translation was done in Unicode (utf-8) encoding. Opera is the first internationally acclaimed software to be officially localized to Georgian, as well as first Georgian language browser.
Opera browser is available on wide range of systems and platforms, though Georgian language support is currently available on MS Windows 95-2003 (for full Georgian support, Windows XP, 2003 or Longhorn is recommended) and GNU Linux operating systems. Macintosh version is under development.
