Mozilla Applications in Georgian

The aim of this project is to support the Georgian locallization of Mozilla applications.

Download Third Edition of Mozilla FireFox Georgian Language Pack preview!

The second edition of FireFox Georgian Language Pack preview is ready. Feel free to download FireFox_ka-GE_1.0.4.xpi and test it! Please note that this is the preview version and we would very much appreciate you feedback and reports.

After you download the xpi file, you may open it from FireFox (File > Open file) and restart the browser. The interface should appear in Georgian directly after restart.

If you already have our previous language pack preview installed, or would like to witch back to the English interface, you may download a very handy utility called Locale Switcher.

Project Background

The first Mozilla Georgian l10n was accomplished by Gia Shervashidze, so Georgian language pack of Mozilla 1.0 can be found on mozilla site.

There have been some developments at Mozilla community meanwhile, introducing widely popular Firefox as well as other popular Mozilla applications, including Thunderbird.

As a result, various people expressed their interest at Georgianisation section of Tbilisis Forumi in participating in the Georgian l10n project.

Dimitri Gogelia has been coordinatng the Georgian localizations and the product is almost ready.

Please participate in translation and QA of the product through our Online Translation section, so the translation is checked and tested by as many people as possible to get the best Georgian Mozilla products!

Please note that the author of the initial Mozilla Georgian translation has also announced he intention to localise the new Mozilla products to Georgian, but has so far refused to work with the community or share his translations.
