Current status of Mandrake Linux Georgian localizations
The current status of Georgian translations is below 30%. Before the next release of Mandrake Linux, i.e. version 10.2, all the modules should be completed.
You may check the exact status of localizations directly at http://www1.mandrakelinux.com/l10n/ka.php3.
If you would like to install the already translated modules to test the Georgian interface, you will need to download the translated po files from the address above, extract and compile them. For example, if you download indexhtml-ka.po.bz2 and extract it, you just have to type
msgfmt -o /usr/share/locale/ka/LC_MESSAGES/indexhtml-ka.mo indexhtml-ka.po
If you have some time to spare, you could help with the translation process. You don't even need to install Linux to help help. The translation can be done on any platform, i.e. even from Microsoft Windows and Mac OS (X). And it is not strictly neccessary to install additional software (though is would help with the translation). Please refer to Join section for detailed information.
