Using the Georgian language interface of Google
First, make sure you have at least one Georgian unicode font installed on your system. To be able to search in Georgian, you should also have a Georgian keyboard layout that lts yu input Georgian unicode Characters. For more information on installing Georgian language fonts and keyboard layouts on various systems, please refer to Docs section of this site.
The next step would be to configure your browser to show a Georgian version of the site, if available. Go to Go to Language Settings in your browsers Preferences and Choose Georgian [ka] as your preferred language for viewing web pages. If Georgian [ka] is not listed in the languages box, you can add it by pressing add button. This once done, Google should automatically appear in Georgian. Shoud the option be unavailable for some reason, just launch Google, click Preferences and choose Georgian from languages drop-down list. Then click Save Preferences. Viola.
All this was a result of Google Georgian localization project started in about 2001. Aiet Kolkhi finished localizing the strings in March, but some Unicode and Georgian related issues had to be solved before the release of Georgian Interface. Beso Gugushvili also participated in the initial localization of some phrazes, as well as QA of some terms, but the project could not be completed as Google was not able to cope with Unicode and Georgian language at that time.
If, for some reason, you are unable to install a Georgian keyboard layout, you may visit Qartuli.com whcih enables you to type Georgian characters wih virtual JavaScript keyboard.
