On July 12, 2002 Google launched the Georgian Interface. If you have set your browser's language settings correcty, visiting Google.com should automatically show the Georgian version of its interface. Otherwise, visit enabling Georgian section or go directly to the Georgian version of Google, located at http://www.google.com/intl/ka/.

All this was a result of Google Georgian localization project started in about 2001. Aiet Kolkhi finished localizing the strings in March, but some Unicode and Georgian related issues had to be solved before the release of Georgian Interface. Beso Gugushvili also participated in the initial localization of some phrazes, as well as QA of some terms, but the project could not be completed as Google was not able to cope with Unicode and Georgian language at that time.
